Phylicia Powers is a member of The National Black Lawyers Top 100. According to the organization, members are invited only after meeting several criteria, including an “outstanding reputation among peers, the judiciary and the public” and “board certification in their areas of specialty,” among other requirements.

The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40
The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 comprises the “top trial lawyers from each state or region who are under the age of 40.” Danielle Feller and Miranda Mills are both members of the organization.

Patrick Roberts, Kevin Marcilliat and Miranda Mills’ current Avvo rating is 10.0. That’s a 10 out of 10. According to Avvo, this rating is “our effort to evaluate a lawyer’s background, based on the information we know about the lawyer. The rating is calculated using a mathematical model that considers the information shown in a lawyer’s profile, including a lawyer’s years in practice, disciplinary history, professional achievements and industry recognition – all factors that, in our opinion, are relevant to assessing a lawyer’s qualifications.”

Nation’s Top One Percent
According to the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, the “Nation’s Top One Percent” are selected through a four-stage process. The NADC “employs an objective, rigorous, multi-stage selection process. The Super Lawyers Organization: “Rising Stars”
Patrick Roberts was selected to “Rising Stars” for three years running: 2013-2015. Kevin Marcilliat, Miranda Mills, Danielle Feller and Phylicia Powers have also been selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2021. According to Super Lawyers, the service “selects attorneys using a patented multiphase selection process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis.”

Lead Counsel Rating
Patrick Roberts became a Lead Counsel rated attorney in 2015. This particular rating has existed since 1997. A Lead Counsel rating is an “independent, objective, and comprehensive tool to use when selecting legal representation. […] In order to qualify, an attorney must demonstrate that he or she has ample legal experience, a spotless record free of any disciplinary actions, and has been endorsed by at least three legal professionals. […] Lead Counsel rated attorneys’ qualifications are reviewed annually to confirm they continue to meet the high standards required of the rating.”

BBB Accredited Business with an A+ Rating
Roberts Law Group, PLLC, is a “BBB Accredited Business” (since 2016) with an A+ rating. According to the BBB’s rating overview, it is “based on information BBB is able to obtain about the business, including complaints received from the public. BBB seeks and uses information directly from businesses and from public data sources. BBB assigns ratings from A+ (highest) to F (lowest).”
According to the BBB, an accredited business means that the BBB has determined the business meets standards, including “a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.”
